Our marketing team recently had the opportunity to tag along for an 9-system install near Moultrie, Georgia, at a 4,000-acre pecan operation, where the team was preparing sprayers for the upcoming spraying season while also equipping the grower and operators with hands-on training for the new technology. The install was led by Mary Logan, Corporate Precision Ag Manager, who plays a key role in bringing Smart Apply technology to life in the field. Mary Logan combines deep technical expertise with a practical, hands-on approach, and is passionate about helping growers improve efficiency and reduce input costs. She’s a strong advocate for Smart Apply’s ability to deliver targeted, data-driven spraying that supports more sustainable operations, and her leadership continues to be a driving force behind successful installs like this one.

Alongside Mary Logan were two essential team members who helped make the installation successful:

Kaden Schlegel joined the Lasseter team in September 2023 and will be a Precision Ag Intern in summer of 2026. He is currently pursuing his Bachelor’s degree in Agribusiness at ABAC, with plans to graduate in December 2026. Outside of work and school, he enjoys hunting, a passion he’s shared with his dad his entire life. What stands out most to him about Smart Apply is the level of customer service, noting that the team is always quick to step in and help whenever questions or challenges arise. His favorite part of a recent install was seeing the system running exactly as it should and connecting with operators, whose firsthand knowledge of the equipment brings added value to the experience. Kaden is drawn to precision ag because there’s always something new to learn, combining his interest in technology with his passion for helping farmers save money—something he believes Smart Apply truly stands behind. He also values being part of Lasseter, where he enjoys going to work each day, and appreciates the strong partnership with Smart Apply, sharing that every interaction has been positive and reinforcing his goal to help farmers for years to come.

Jarrett Hancock joined the team in May 2025 as a Precision Ag Intern and is set to transition into a Precision Ag Consultant role following his graduation from UGA Tifton in May 2026, where he will earn his Bachelor’s degree in Agriscience and Environmental Systems. Outside of work and school, he enjoys spending time with family and being outdoors—often working on the farm, helping with livestock, or fishing. Jarrett is especially drawn to Smart Apply for its ability to help growers reduce chemical usage while still effectively managing pests and diseases. He finds the most rewarding part of installations is seeing the system come together from start to finish and knowing it’s ready to make a real impact in the field. His passion for precision ag comes from its blend of agriculture and technology, enabling more efficient, data-driven decisions, and he values how Smart Apply supports targeted applications and reduces waste. Most of all, he enjoys working directly with growers and looks forward to continuing to help producers improve efficiency through real-world applications of this technology.

We’re grateful for dedicated teams like this at Lasseter Tractor Company who are bringing precision technology to the field and making a real impact for growers every day.
